Val de Mièges' butter dish cooperative

We are a union of dairy cooperatives or, in French, "coop de coops" whose members are exclusively Comté producers.

In fact, the production of AOC Comté generates a so-called blend cream: made from both milk and whey (serum). Since 1945, fruit growers from the Nozeroy sector have joined forces to pool this cream to produce a traditional churned butter ....
